Hope you are having a great day, on this pasts Friday I had the awesome honor of sitting down at the local Palms Restaurant in Dallas, TX for lunch with none other than Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and let me tell you it was amazing. First of all, big major props for Big Brother of North Texas for setting this up, for the past couple of years my boss Marc Accetta(www.MarcAccetta.com) has been involved with having a little brother through Big Brother Big Sister, and has recently been asked to join as a member of the Board for Collin County Big Brother Big Sister. Well through their annual event, they were able to set up a lunch with Mark Cuban and he asked if I’d join him. Mr. Cuban is one of the most down to earth, absolute cool guys that I’ve met in my life. We talked about everything as if we were friends just hanging out and catching up, going from stories of his childhood days back in Pittsburg doing some door to door sales, to talking about computer stuff, to movies, where he sees the internet going and everything. It was such a humbling experience to see that someone that is worth so much, and has accomplished such amazing business achievements at such a young age, has not allowed his money or fame get to his head. We were talking about business and how in business you have people coming at you, 24/7 365 days a year trying to tear you down and put you down and pretty much just put you out of business, so you have to be always be on your toes, always aware and always willing to change and compete, and do the best that you can do or you will be left in the dust. I think that just that 5-10 minute conversation with him sums up why he has had so much success in life. He sees his competition and make sure that no one can catch up with him. He spoke with great enthusiasm about his new passion being involved with producing films, which he’s already done a great job with “Akeelah and the Bee”, which if you haven’t seen this movie, it’s definitely a great movie to go out immediately and watch it. It was just such a surreal situation to be sitting down in front of him and have him ask me about my Myspace account, my knowledge of computers and travel and what I thought about my first trip to Jersey last year. And he genuinely was asking this stuff as if I was one of his past time buddies. It was just a cool experience, and just a great way to start off the weekend. I am now here in Long Beach, CA getting ready to start an exciting Leadership Acceleration Training that Marc Accetta, Director of Training for WorldVentures will be conducting along side Network Marketing veteran and #1 Money Earner for WorldVentures, Steve Little, this weekend is going to be awesome. God Bless and Take Care!!!
