Here is by far one of the best trainings I’ve ever experienced in my 20 years of being associated with Personal Growth.
As I travel around the world and continue to not only work along side of Marc Accetta and Worldventures I also take in what is being taught and continue to grow as a person and to evolve my mind and thinkings.
This morning as I woke up in Phuket, after some much needed sleep, I looked over and saw this book on the night stand not thinking anything of it I opened it and started reading. And loved these thoughts and wanted to share them.
We are all brothers and sisters on an amazing Journey through a constantly changing universe. Sometimes we feel pain. Sometimes we are happy.
Our own effort and action are the engines of our development.
The laws of nature are rational and can be understood. All actions have reactions, and each of us is responsible for all we do.
Being born human is a fantastic opportunity because we have the enormous creative power of our intention and free will.
We are our own masters. We create our own fate, our own heaven and our own hell. We create by the use of our intention and free will.
Our human mind is always creating. Our mental environment is our own responsibility.
By practicing harmlessness, compassion and loving-kindness we cause no harm to ourselves or the world, this creating no new negative feedback.
By paying attention, staying mindful, and bravely examining ourselves and nature, we grow in wisdom. This wisdom will clean our world.
Ultimate freedom is a reachable world.
May we all meet again free from all suffering and laugh together at the past!

I hope you enjoyed it and may we all continue to grow mentally and spiritually! Have a great week!
Well just got back to Dallas from a 12 day trip out to California and it was awesome. Although I wish the weather would’ve been a bit better, I guess I shouldn’t be complaining giving the fact that there’s been several thunderstorms and bad weather here in Texas.
While out in California I attended one of the most incredible events I’ve been introduced to by my friends Matt Morris and Marc Accetta. SANG is a notable event held yearly and organized by Larry Benet. SANG which stands for Speakers, Authors & Networkers Group. There have been so many amazing people who I’ve met through this event such as Tony Hseih from Zappos.com, Jeff Hayznett, Jack Canfield, Bryan Tracy, Mari Smith, Robin Sharma and so on…this year I was able to meet and hear from Sean Stephenson. Now Sean is someone who not many people know…but they should!
Expected to die at birth, Sean Stephenson has faced many reasons to give up and countless opportunities to embrace pity. He suffered more than 200 bone fractures by the age of 18, reached a height of only 3 ft., and is permanently confined to a wheelchair. However he’s allowed his set backs to inspire millions around the world including Tony Robbins & Bill Clinton. During his speech Sean said whenever we’re having a bad day or dealing with a tough situation, we should ask ourselves, “What’s Funny About This?” So being that I’ve worked around Marc for close to 10 years now, I know plenty of positive mental exercises and how to think positively. However sometimes I need new inspiration and I think Sean’s message hit the spot for what I was about to experience.
The SANG event had ended and I needed to go get my truck to pick up some equipment that was being used during the event. Upon walking to where I had parked my truck 5 days prior and trust me I had been checking on it each evening to make sure there were not tickets and not towed. And everything had been OK, until that day! I get to my truck and there’s a small car parked in its place that said…Parking Permit for The Hangover 2 Movie Premiere! Yes! That is correct The Hangover 2 Movie Premiere crew had gotten my truck towed. Now I am calling the numbers on the signs and no answer, just messages from the Mayor welcoming me to the city! After 15 minutes of this, I become frustrated find a parking attendant and he says oh yeah…I saw them towing it around 3pm this afternoon. You can go down Hollywood Pkwy about 6 blocks and your vehicle is there! That’s where they tow all the vehicles down here. Now I know what you’re thinking Monico, why did you park in a Tow Away Zone…well I didn’t that’s just the spot that the hotel security & staff said I would be safe to park. OK…so now I am walking about 6 blocks in Hollywood, while still on the phone and the Mayor welcoming me to Hollywood, by this time I am very irritated. I finally find the place which was 10 blocks away not 6! I go up to the window and the man looks at me and says, “Oh yes we brought in your car about 4 hours ago…what do you want to do?” What do I want to do, I want my truck back! So $380 later, he gives me my paperwork and says to wait by the gate to get my truck. As I am waiting another guy comes and says come with me and takes me to a parking lot about 7 blocks away and as the gate opens there is my truck in the middle of all these other cars. I feel a sense of relief as I get into my truck and start it and click…click…click! Yep my battery is dead! Here we go….the guy comes back and says do you need a jump! I am saying to myself A JUMP! Really you’re asking me if I need a Jump! I answer calmly and politely yes…so he gives me a jump! I let my truck run for about 10 minutes. As I leave the gated pound, I turn right, he turns left and leaves in a hurry and yep you guessed it…my truck dies AGAIN!
I am definitely not in my happy zone..in fact I even yelled out a couple of choice words! At this point my emergency lights barely were blinking so I know it’s definitely a dead battery. I remember passing an Auto Zone on the way walking to the towing place, however it’s now 8:58pm and as many of you know most car part places close at 9pm. So I now call my girlfriend, Melinda which is supposed to be having a girls night out with her friend from high school. So now they come over from being out on Rodeo Dr. & site seeing! I know I am a bad boyfriend for pulling them away from Rodeo Dr. While waiting for them to come I had also called my friend Mike Putman, which was able to get the Hollywood Parking Police to allow me to leave my truck there overnight and I could get a new battery in the morning. So they finally arrive and the lady says oh wow…you’re parked in LA county…we only have permission over Hollywood! So I am asking well where is Hollywood? She looks at me with a straight face and says oh it’s right over there across the street. She was pointing literally at the other end of the street, not down the road, down the block or anything but literally about 15 steps away. LOL…I kinda laugh out loud and say ok can you give me a jump so that I can at least turn my truck long enough to turn it around. She says well it’s a Hybrid car so they don’t have batteries….WOW REALLY…LOL. Man oh Man I am getting taught a major lesson by the Hangover Crew about parking in their spots! LOL.
Finally Melinda gets to where I am at, I ask if it’s possible for them to go to a Wal-Mart and get me a battery! I thought to myself I am asking her to leave Rodeo Dr. and go to Wal-Mart…LOL! So her friend so politely looks for one and finds one about 30 minutes away but they close at midnight…it is now 11:20pm, so it’s a race against time. They leave and I stay with my truck because aside from it not having any hazard lights, when the parking lady was there, she indicates to me that I am again parked in a Tow Away Zone…LOL! Shortly after midnight I get a text from Melinda saying…Got it, on our way back! I am finally thinking…God Thank YOU! As soon as I say that, the thought comes to my mind about the security brace on the battery and if I have the tools to take it off! Yep you guessed it…I didn’t! I now have about 30 minutes to figure out a way to take off the battery bracket which holds the battery securely so that it doesn’t move around while driving! I am going through my entire truck looking for something…I find a crow bar and a rusty set of pliers! That’s what I am working with! As soon as I look at the pliers, open the hood and shine the flashlight on the bolt. The thought comes through my mind..“What’s Funny About This!”, so after that all the frustration and oh why me attitude and victim mentality just melted and went out the door!
Well needless to say I finally get the bolt off after about 40 minutes, get the new battery in there, truck starts immediately! As I was driving to the hotel to pick up my equipment, I thought man it’s about 1am, I sure could use a drink but everything’s closed. Oh well, as I get up to my room what do I see on the desk a bottle of Absolut…Melinda said they had bought it thinking that we could all use a drink once I got everything resolved…right there I fell in love with her all over again! How awesome & thoughtful is she that after ruining her girls night out night, she was still thinking about me and that I needed to wind down.
Had some drinks with my sweetie, her friend, relaxed and reflected on how lucky I am that mentally I am strong enough to not freak out when life throws you a couple of curve balls. No matter how bad things may seem or how screwed up things might be going, you should take a step back and ask yourself…”What’s Funny About This?” This is just something that I learned from Sean Stephenson during that week at SANG, however I have strong faith in God and know that God has a plan for everything! So I never question, never complain, although sometimes I definitely feel like complaining and just being pissed off, I know that everything happens for a reason!
Enjoy the video of Sean’s Speech at SANG V…This is the same speech I watched….LIVE!
Wow…we’ve just completed what in my opinion was one of the top trainings we’ve had to date over the past 9 years that I’ve been working with Marc Accetta. A View from the Edge is a unique training that’s a bit hard to explain! It takes education and entertainment and Marc has mastered the way of combining both of those fields and delivers them with his unique style of public speaking to create an awesome experience. One crucial element to this years View from the Edge training was our production overhaul that we did. As you can see from some of our pictures, we’ve totally outdone the production value of this seminar and taken it to that next digital level…that just left everyone at WorldVentures in amazement after the weekend.
I’d like to thank all the people that stopped by my AV station to say, “Thank You” & “Great Job”. It feels great that I am having a small part in allowing everyone to experience a great event put on by one of the best Personal Growth Trainers and Public Speakers in the world!
But now we’re off to Las Vegas, Nevada for our next 3DayMBA training with Gabe Shirey…I got a chance to visit with Gabe shortly during the View and he told me the line up he has of Speakers, Authors and Internet Marketing Professionals he has lined up for this coming weekend in Vegas and WOW that’s going to be one talent packed room this weekend. On top of that he has some of the most sought after, inspirational, motivating UFC Machines in the sport coming in to speak! What’s crazy to me is how down to earth and approachable these guys are, Gabe was super cool in introducing me to his buddies and that was just a awesome highlight to the weekend, as well as an educational-motivational one as well! It was great and I cannot wait to get to Las Vegas and see Marc Accetta in Action on stage alongside some of the best of the best in the industry that I’ve followed, read blogs, follow on twitter, read articles and am looking forward to an incredible weekend of learning and fun….not to mention on top of that it’s Halloween Weekend in VEGAS! Are you kidding me! You can’t miss out this weekend….Click Here for more INFO!
Yep in less than 45 days we’ll be once again at our biggest training event of the year, A View from the Edge. Marc Accetta has taken this training to an entirely new level since I first started working with him on this event. Never in a million years would I have imagined that he’d be flying through the air or we’d be blowing stuff up, bringing in live animals, making it snow on stage, fire, pyrotechnics and so many other great effects throughout the show. This year we’ll be moving our show to Allen, TX. Which is the perfect spot in my opinion not only for the show but also for the attendees in WorldVentures. This new area in Allen is up and coming and is already considered one of the great spots for nightlife, food and entertainment throughout Collin County. So it’s a perfect match for our yearly event.
The site we’ll be having our event will be at the Allen Event Center, which hosts a vast mixture of all kinds of entertainment from ice hockey games, concerts, gymnastics and now A View from the Edge.
We are already steadily planning for this years event in order to step it up a notch and make it bigger and better than last years event. Check out some clips from last years, A View from the Edge.
There were so many great characters last year and believe it or not we’ve gotten request to do some of the characters but we still haven’t finalized our list yet.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU….
Everyone that knows me and I like all kind of music. Being a drummer I always try to listen to all kinds of music just to stay on top of what’s going on in the world. My buddy, Marc Accetta recently sent out this video to all his newsletter subscribers and it got such a great turnout and feedback from it. So I asked him if it was ok to share it with all my friends and here it is. I just thought it was kinda funny. Anyways enjoy this video and if you want to check out more videos from Marc visit his site at www.DallasSuccessCoach.com and sign up to be in his newsletter.
“American Idol” producers are eager to hire Howard Stern to replace Simon Cowell as the show’s tough-talking judge, sources tell Page Six.
An insider said that producers of the hit Fox show say Stern, America’s highest-paid radio personality, is their top choice to take over from Cowell, who leaves at the end of this season. They approached the King of All Media after he repeatedly mentioned on-air that his exclusive Sirius XM Radio deal expires next January and he was open to other offers. Cowell was paid $50 million a year.
A source connected to “Idol” said, “It’s one of the few shows that could compete with Stern’s $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and ‘Idol’ bosses think he’d be even nastier than Simon.

“They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. ‘Idol’ will do what it takes to sign him.”
But a second source told us Stern hasn’t made the “Idol” talks easy, and has been giving out mixed messages about his intentions.
“Despite what he’s been saying on-air, Howard isn’t ready to leave radio and would like to stay on at Sirius,” the source said. “We believe this is a ploy to make Sirius pay up and keep him on his huge contract. But if Sirius can’t pay him the money he wants, he may negotiate to film ‘Idol’ on the side.”
Stern is also believed to be reluctant to commit to a show that would require him to tour the US as a judge and spend much of the year in Los Angeles.
He recently said, somewhat cryptically, “I was approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show and leave here and do that next year — and I did turn it down . . . I’m not even sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens.”

Jerry Jones got his fight.
The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who made a strong pitch to host the now-aborted Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight at Cowboys Stadium by offering a record $25 million site fee, landed the next best thing.
The new $1.2 billion state-of-the-art facility in Arlington, Texas, will host Pacquiao’s March 13 pay-per-view welterweight title defense against Joshua Clottey.
Jones and Top Rank’s Bob Arum and Todd duBoef, who toured the facility and were Jones’ guests at Saturday night’s Cowboys playoff victory against the Philadelphia Eagles, closed the deal for the bout on Sunday afternoon.
“Bob was persistent in keeping this alive as a place for Manny’s fight,” Jones told ESPN.com, while celebrating the deal with Arum and duBoef. “I’m so glad Bob came back to us. We are so excited about this event and that we will be able to bring a big fight here for the Hispanic boxing fans, and all boxing fans in this area, who are also Dallas Cowboys fans. It’s important for us. Manny is such an exemplary athlete.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Jones could not contain his excitement.
“I never got into the NFL or bought the Cowboys for the money. I was lucky enough to already have some,” he said. “This is about having a fighter like Manny and an event like this in our venue. When we finished the deal, I was shaking as much as I was when we beat the Eagles. I’m just as excited.”
The timing of the formal news conference has not been determined because Pacquiao still needs to come to the United States from the Philippines and Clottey is headed to the U.S. from Ghana.
DuBoef said it probably won’t be until after the Cowboys’ Jan. 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Jones said the stadium won’t be set for the full 100,000 seating capacity as was planned for a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout. Instead, they’ll start in the 40,000-seat range.
“But that’s one of the great things about the stadium — we can expand the seating capacity as it warrants,” Jones said.
Arum (a huge New York Giants fan, not a Cowboys fan) was already in full promotional form after the deal was agreed to.
“This is going to be one of the biggest events in the history of boxing,” Arum said. “This is the most incredible stadium setting I have ever seen. It is absolutely unbelievable. This is going to be much, much more than just a boxing match. A lot of things that happen are ordained by God. We weren’t going to go here for Pacquiao-Mayweather fight because [Golden Boy CEO Richard] Schaefer wouldn’t get on a plane and come down here and see the place. So that didn’t happen. And now that fight isn’t happening. And now we are here with Manny for another fight. When people see this event and how it will be presented, nothing in the past will ever compare to it.”
Before the fight fell apart over a single issue — the protocol for drug testing — Arum was intrigued with the idea of bringing Pacquiao-Mayweather to Cowboys Stadium.
Arum, Schaefer and HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg were scheduled to be in Dallas on Dec. 9 to meet with Jones and tour the facility. But the night before, Schaefer called off the trip, a move that in retrospect was the beginning of the fight going downhill.
Besides being the home field for the Cowboys and now the host for Pacquiao-Clottey, Cowboys Stadium hosts the annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic and will host the NBA All-Star Game next month, the 2011 Super Bowl and the 2014 NCAA men’s basketball Final Four.
One of the stadium’s most significant fan-friendly elements is the world’s largest (and most expensive at $40 million) HD video board, which is 72 feet high and 160 feet wide. Jones said every fan, regardless of where they are seated, would have a good view of the action because of it.

As there are only a couple of hours left in this great year of 2009, I feel very blessed to have shared so many great memories with so many wonderful people. I have God to thank for so many blessings and insights that he has shown me along this past year. We should all remember that all of the troubles and mistakes that we might of experienced during our life should be not just shrugged off as being a bad year or have a unlucky year. So many people look at the year that they have just left behind and say, “Well 2009 just wasn’t my year!” Don’t be one of those individuals, learn from the mistakes and struggles you came across in this past year and make sure that you do not repeat them in 2010. My wish is for everyone to share a Happy and Safe New Year with your loved ones, with those people that share a special part in your heart and those that build you up and make you feel stronger, superior and just in a positive frame of mind. I’ll be sharing my New Year’s Festivities in the great city of Austin, TX home of the 2010 Rose Bowl Bound Texas Longhorns. I’ll be sharing this great night with my amazing girlfriend, Melinda Soto, some of my buddies from Austin, brother and cousin. I wish everyone the best out of 2010 and cannot wait to see what memories we create out there….What are some goals you are looking at tackling in 2010?
