“Trust arrives walking and departs riding!”

Here is a new post that I am using from a good friend, Garrett that I networked with about a month ago and we’ve become good friends.  I felt his posting was great and I asked if I could share it with my network! Enjoy!!!

trust

Never Cheat!!!

Trust walks in on foot but rides out on horseback. (Olde English Proverb)

Any time that it is broken, it quickly leaves. Never cheat; retain integrity; build trust with others. Layer congruent information upon congruent information. When a person cheats, trust goes out the window, rarely to return again. A leader should hold himself/herself to a higher standard. If not, your team will see through you. Cheating may seem like a shortcut to success, but it leads to a sure dead end.

There are three things required to be successful; character, tasks, and relationships. Great businesses are built by men and women following through on their word without the need for lawsuits to ensure integrity.

Andrew Roddick is a tennis pro. He was playing a title match, and he was one point away from winning the title. His opponent served, and the line judge called the serve out. Roddick saw that the ball was actually inside the line and was a good serve. Roddick challenged the call, and the line judge overruled his call. Roddick went on to lose the title to his opponent. But Roddick won the game of integrity. Steven Covey called this “Roddick’s Choice.”

There was a young lady that attended Liam’s school. She has now graduated, but at the time, she was part of the track relay team. Our school’s sports program is fairly new, and winning was rather elusive several years ago. In fact, many schools looked down their noses at our school since our teams were so small, and we didn’t win much across all sports. During this relay, we were neck-in-neck for first place. The girl in second place went down with an injury, in fact, if memory serves, she passed out. Our girl stopped and stayed with this young lady until the girl’s coach arrived on the scene before she picked up her baton and continued the race. By now, we were so far behind there was no hope of coming close to winning, but she continued running. She passed the baton to her sister who finished the race totally alone on the track, crossing the finish line with a standing ovation. These ladies were raised in such a way that they developed character. We might have lost the race, but we won the respect of every single school present. Later, our school received several phone calls from various coaches saying they had never witnessed such a thing in all of their years coaching.

Never steal. If a person steals, he forfeits any trust. Time theft is costing the American economy billions of dollars a year. Wasting time while on the company clock has become an epidemic. This is one reason that it is so difficult for employees to transfer into employer. Many people wouldn’t consider stealing directly from the till, but they have no qualms stealing time. Oftentimes, the decision of not stealing is based on a fear of getting caught. That is someone who has a serious character issue.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter. –Martin Luther King

Character moves beyond integrity. Our courage cannot be superseded by fear. What is your mission? What is your action? It takes courage to fulfill our calling.

7 Signs Your Friend Is a Jerk

Came across this funny but true article on Inc.com that I wanted to share with everyone and make sure you either aren’t or stop being a jerk! LOL! Enjoy!

the-jerk-2

If you identify the jerks quickly, you won’t waste your time trying to work with them.

In today’s hectic world, you must decide quickly whether you want to mingle, work with or interact with somebody. Unless you enjoy being miserable, it’s useful to spot the jerks quickly, before you commit. Here are the seven “red flag” behaviors:

1. Badmouthing

Only a jerk–and an insecure jerk, at that–would attempt to make himself (or herself) look better by disparaging others.

2. Littering

Anybody who throws something on the ground and expects somebody else to bend down and pick it up is automatically a jerk.

3. Rudeness

Curtness to underlings and anyone else who “doesn’t matter” is always a sign of deep-seated jerkitude.

4. Undertipping

In the U.S., waiters and waitresses make $2.13 an hour. Any customer who doesn’t tip at least 15 percent (regardless of service) lacks either a heart or a brain. Either way… jerk!

5. Ostentation

Jerks think showy watches, fancy cars, and expensive office furniture set them above the hoi-polloi.  In fact, pricey accoutrements simply scream “jerk!”

6. Profanity

The occasional expletive is forgivable but repeated use of the F-bomb reveals anger at the world and fundamental disrespect to everyone listening.

7. Aggressive driving

People who risk other people’s lives simply to shave a few seconds off their own schedule are inconsiderate jerks.  And dangerous ones, at that.

20 Things the Rich Do Every Day

Today I came across this article that a friend of mine posted online and I read it and apparently there were some people that felt offended by the post and others didn’t.  I read it and found it intriguing and more than anything motivating to make some changes in my life in order to fall into the category of wealthy.  Now one thing is that some people view that wealth is dealing with Money, however I don’t feel that way, I think wealth means in all areas of ones life.  Being Wealthy in your relationship, wealthy in your health, money, socially, etc.  So you read it and come to your own conclusion.  I wish you a great 2014 may you say blessed throughout the year and may you become wealthier in all areas of your life.  Thanks Roger for the post!

May All Beings Have A Wonderful Journey.

As I travel around the world and continue to not only work along side of Marc Accetta and Worldventures I also take in what is being taught and continue to grow as a person and to evolve my mind and thinkings.
This morning as I woke up in Phuket, after some much needed sleep, I looked over and saw this book on the night stand not thinking anything of it I opened it and started reading. And loved these thoughts and wanted to share them.

We are all brothers and sisters on an amazing Journey through a constantly changing universe. Sometimes we feel pain. Sometimes we are happy.

Our own effort and action are the engines of our development.

The laws of nature are rational and can be understood. All actions have reactions, and each of us is responsible for all we do.

Being born human is a fantastic opportunity because we have the enormous creative power of our intention and free will.

We are our own masters. We create our own fate, our own heaven and our own hell. We create by the use of our intention and free will.

Our human mind is always creating. Our mental environment is our own responsibility.

By practicing harmlessness, compassion and loving-kindness we cause no harm to ourselves or the world, this creating no new negative feedback.

By paying attention, staying mindful, and bravely examining ourselves and nature, we grow in wisdom. This wisdom will clean our world.

Ultimate freedom is a reachable world.

May we all meet again free from all suffering and laugh together at the past!

This was written by Phra Bhassakorn Bhavilai

I hope you enjoyed it and may we all continue to grow mentally and spiritually! Have a great week!

Positive Thinking: 7 Easy Ways to Improve a Bad Day

Don’t let a bad morning ruin your entire day. Use these mental tricks to change your momentum.

Positive Thinking Hot Air Balloon

Had a lousy morning? Things looking grim?

Not to worry. The rest of your day need not be a disaster. It can in fact become one of your best, providing you take these simple steps:

1. Remember that the past does not equal the future.

There is no such thing as a “run of bad luck.” The reason people believe such nonsense is that the human brain creates patterns out of random events and remembers the events that fit the pattern.

2. Refuse to make self-fulfilling prophesies.

If you believe the rest of your day will be as challenging as what’s already happened, then rest assured: You’ll end up doing something (or saying) something that will make sure that your prediction comes true.

3. Get a sense of proportion.

Think about the big picture: Unless something life-changing has happened (like the death of a loved one), chances are that in two weeks, you’ll have forgotten completely about whatever it was that has your shorts in a twist today.

4. Change your threshold for “good” and “bad.”

Decide that a good day is any day that you’re above ground. Similarly, decide that a bad day is when somebody steals your car and drives it into the ocean. Those types of definitions make it easy to be happy–and difficult to be sad.

5. Improve your body chemistry.

Your body and brain are in a feedback loop: A bad mood makes you tired, which makes your mood worse, and so forth. Interrupt the pattern by getting up and moving around.  Take a walk or eat something healthy.

6. Focus on what’s going well.

The primary reason you’re convinced it’s a bad day is that you’re focusing on whatever went wrong. However, for everything going badly, there are probably dozens of things going well.  Make list, and post it where it’s visible.

7. Expect something wondrous.

Just as an attitude of doom and gloom makes you see more problems, facing the future with a sense of wonder makes you alive to all sorts of wonderful things that are going on, right now, everywhere around you.

Back to Back….Great Weekend Events just keep coming!

Wow…we’ve just completed what in my opinion was one of the top trainings we’ve had to date over the past 9 years that I’ve been working with Marc AccettaA View from the Edge is a unique training that’s a bit hard to explain! It takes education and entertainment and Marc has mastered the way of combining both of those fields and delivers them with his unique style of public speaking to create an awesome experience.  One crucial element to this years View from the Edge training was our production overhaul that we did.  As you can see from some of our pictures, we’ve totally outdone the production value of this seminar and taken it to that next digital level…that just left everyone at WorldVentures in amazement after the weekend.

I’d like to thank all the people that stopped by my AV station to say, “Thank You” & “Great Job”.  It feels great that I am having a small part in allowing everyone to experience a great event put on by one of the best Personal Growth Trainers and Public Speakers in the world!

But now we’re off to Las Vegas, Nevada for our next 3DayMBA training with Gabe Shirey…I got a chance to visit with Gabe shortly during the View and he told me the line up he has of Speakers, Authors and Internet Marketing Professionals he has lined up for this coming weekend in Vegas and WOW that’s going to be one talent packed room this weekend.  On top of that he has some of the most sought after, inspirational, motivating UFC Machines in the sport coming in to speak!  What’s crazy to me is how down to earth and approachable these guys are, Gabe was super cool in introducing me to his buddies and that was just a awesome highlight to the weekend, as well as an educational-motivational one as well! It was great and I cannot wait to get to Las Vegas and see Marc Accetta in Action on stage alongside some of the best of the best in the industry that I’ve followed, read blogs, follow on twitter, read articles and am looking forward to an incredible weekend of learning and fun….not to mention on top of that it’s Halloween Weekend in VEGAS! Are you kidding me! You can’t miss out this weekend….Click Here for more INFO!

The Power of One Podcast in 2010 by Marc Accetta

This year personal success coach and mentor , Marc Accetta will be hosting a Podcast show called, The Power of One. Marc came up with the concept for the show a few months ago when he came across a song of the same name, by Israel Houghton, at our local church led by Mike and Kathy Hayes, Covenant Church. “I have studied human nature and the science of success for over twenty years and realize that most of the greatest innovations we have ever enjoyed came from the imagination of one person”, states Marc.  While it ultimately takes teamwork to make the dream truly work, most great teams are lead by a dynamic individual who has a vision.

Our show will highlight amazing leaders from virtually every walk of life that have changed the world in which they lived by their contributions. While the people featured will all have in common the fact that they are ultra high achievers, they will also amaze you with the fact that they have come from such diverse backgrounds. Then again, while their differences will be vast, the similarities that created their successes and greatness will be nearly identical.

The formula for success is really the same no matter what you are attempting to do. As the series unfolds, you will definitely find this to be true. The power of what one idea can do is amazing. The power of what one dream can do is amazing. The power of what one person can do is amazing.  We cannot wait to get started bringing these amazing stories to all of you. Some of the people will be very famous and others will not, but they will all be inspiring.

Marc says, “Years ago I needed to be inspired, I still need it. Much of my inspiration, then and now, comes from true stories of average people who had a dream, and who had the guts to make those dreams come true. I will share the stories that have inspired me. I think it will surprise you that many of histories greatest heroes were at one time broke and unsure of themselves. Some of them were depressed and considered themselves failures. The point is that there are thousands of more stories out there and I would love to help inspire one or two of them.”

If you believe in your dreams and are brave enough to follow through on them, the possibilities are endless. Tune into our show and share it with all of your friends. 2010 is the beginning of a new decade; a decade that will bring many quantum leaps in our society. Someone will be responsible for those leaps. Join our show and either hear about them or become inspired to create one of them. In 2010 come to understand the true power of one!
